you know i would be so sad if singapore really does become this place of unfulfilled desires fuelled by the overwhelming need for vertical expansion and growth, feeding only the handful for whom mountain-climbing is well-suited. sometimes i still feel the need to be filed up and jigsaw-puzzled into a comfortable place, but perhaps it is in human nature always to clamour against that neat administrative maneouvre. often i think the space to realise that i am discontented is lovely luxury. what good fortune i've had, to have passion both pressing and painful.
