doing your best is to struggle against waste, and "[listening] to your heart" is for sidestepping the same because "its the only thing you can do", and even though "there's what you want, and
then there's what you get" (from oranges by jeanette winterson) rings of absolute truth that doesnt mean you don't listen to your heart, huh, since that's the only way you can protect yourself... "listen to your heart"'s one of the most underrated cheesy cliches then, in that case, especially in a world of sane practicality, not that saneness and practicalness are not enough but that there is still more that can be had, especially under less pressing circumstances. tis our only way of protecting ourselves from being less than what we want to be, and against trying less strivingly-we must then listen to the innervoice that whispers and shouts in turn.
